FJ Families, Guess what is happening tomorrow? LOL. Do you know that cracks me up every year?! My husband...not so much. His loss:)
VERY IMPORTANT URGENT INFO NEEDED: Please complete the following survey so I may connect with Renfroe about the 6th grade tour. We are quickly approaching the end of the school year. YAY! I'm so grateful for your help as we support your scholars. I'm a little sad that I'm only now getting to see more of their personality, but that hasn't stopped us from building a relationship! I actually still speak with many of my past scholars regularly. Some are in the military, nurses, doctors, PARENTS! My class from last year constantly sends soccer, gymnastic, broken toe updates! That is to say, I hope (though our time together was brief) that we remain a FJ Crew for a long time to come. Please be watching your email for updates about end of year celebrations, testing, etc. Just a quick update: All teachers will be helping with GMAS (Georgia Milestones) testing. This means that scholars will have asynchronous work during testing days. Fifth graders are working on their final IB project called Exhibition. They will likely have some reflection, exhibition, and year end wrap up activities to do. Due to GMAS protocol, they will not likely have any math work specifically. THIS WEEK'S LEARNING: See the Weekly Learning Plan below. Please utilize the CLASSWORK tab and then choose the small clipboard at the top that says VIEW MY WORK to review class assignments and grades. Here is a short tutorial from Ms. C. Smith. FJ Families,
Whoa! What a soggy Saturday! While our soccer games were cancelled, I was very appreciative of a slow moving day. I caught up on a few of my favorite shows from the week. I made one of my children's favorite breakfasts, and I just chilled out for a minute. I hope that you have an equally restful day. At least none of us have to water plants today! This week we had a blast doing science experiments. Be sure to check out the supplies needed for this week below. There is also information about yearbooks. FJ Families, YAY! We made it through another new week of something:) Your scholars have been great. I'm starting to see personalities peek through. I'm very grateful to returning FJ Crew members for their willingness to jump in and support new FJ Crew members as they navigate a new teacher. You will likely hear me joke with the class about being "basically middle schoolers". But it is no joke, it is true! Can you believe it? Another year in the books - and what a year it has been! I know that we are going to continue building the skills that will set us up for success at Renfroe and beyond:) SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: We will be administering the Milestone End of Grade (GMAS) during the week of May 10-14. You received a survey in Infinite Campus asking if you would like for your student to come to the building to take the assessment in the afternoon that week. If you did not respond to the survey and would like for your student to take the test, please email Ms. Hanson at [email protected] and let her know. If you have any questions, you can also email her. THIS WEEK'S LEARNING: See the Weekly Learning Plan below.
